MGM University has also planned to establish a School of Legal Studies and Research to promote an understanding of the law of India and its legal frameworks and their application in different fields of life. A strong and just legal system is the backbone of any progressive nation. Increasing urbanization, globalization, the advent of the internet, an outbreak of information, the emergence of digital platforms and devices and many such inventions together affect the social systems and values of society in both positive and negative ways. In such a time, the need for well-trained legal professionals is being felt like never before. Such professionals are needed not only to interpret and create the laws for the changing times, but also for their on-ground implementation.
The School of Legal Studies and Research has been established by MGM University to provide quality education in law and develop legal professionals who are deeply imbued with social ethics and integrity. The School offers 3 specializations (PG programs), 2 UG programs, and 3 Diploma programs in different areas of legal studies.
The LL.M. is a two-year postgraduate program that prepares students to work as professionals in law and legal affairs in throughout the country. The robust curriculum of the program enables them to have an in-depth knowledge of several legal sub-fields.
BBA LL.B. (Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Laws) is a 5-year integrated program designed for candidates who have completed Higher Secondary or equivalent education. This course introduces candidates to the basic principles of management such as organizational behaviour, accountancy and project management along with law subjects. It is meant for those who wish to enter into the field of litigation or advocacy and aspire to achieve various opportunities in the legal field.
The Bachelor of Laws, commonly known as an LL.B. degree, is a three-year law degree. Graduates from any background can pursue this program. It is an excellent career option for those who aspire to make a career in legal and allied fields.
