Eligibility Criteria

M.Clin.Psy.

Master of Clinical Psychology

Four-year B.A./B.Sc. degree in Psychology from a university recognised by RCI/UGC, with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST candidates). Candidates with a three-year graduation degree in Psychology must pass a fourth-year Bridge Course or the first year of a Master’s programme in Psychology with at least 55% marks.

P.D.(Cl.Psy.)

Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology

M.A./M.Sc. degree in Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Applied Psychology from a UGC-recognised university, with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).

Selection Procedure

Admissions to both programmes are conducted by a selection committee, including the Head of the Department, through the following stages

    Objective-type examination — assesses knowledge of relevant branches of psychology.
  2. 2
    Written test — assesses writing skills essential for communication with clinicians and other professionals.
  3. 3
    Group discussion — assesses expressive and communication skills.
  4. 4
    Practical examination — assesses proficiency in administering and interpreting basic psychological tests and conducting a problem-focused client interview.
  5. 5
    Interview — assesses motivation and commitment to serving persons with disabilities.

Final selection is based on the total score obtained across these components.
