About us

A rich legacy for four decades

Established by the revered Mahatma Gandhi Mission, a pioneer in higher education, research and social development, MGM University is a self-financed State University, from 2019, approved by Government of Maharashtra. It has the 2(f) status of the University Grants Commission of India.

It stands tall owing to its longstanding academic institutes, each one established by Mahatma Gandhi Mission, over the last 40 years, including Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College, MGM Institute of Management and Research, Dr.G.Y.Pathrikar College of Computer Science & IT, MGM College of Journalism & Mass Communication (MGM Film Arts, MGM Photography and Institute of Indian & Foreign Languages), MGM Institute of Hotel Management, MGM Institute of Fashion Design, MGM College of Fine Arts, MAHAGAMI Gurukul of Performing Arts.
