MGM University's School of Film Art is one of the most advanced film schools in Maharashtra providing students with access to the 'State-of-The-Art' film-making facilities. The School of Film Art firmly believes that film is an art and every student of film art needs to be groomed as an artist. Hence, alongside ultramodern facilities like film cameras, editing studios, sound recording studio and colour lab, it has also ensured top-notch mentoring for the students from experts in the filmmaking field and experienced actors and actresses. The School offers exclusive specializations in Screen Acting, Direction, Editing, Cinematography, VFX, Production Design and Art Direction, Screen Writing and Sound Design.

Our History

A rich legacy of four decades

Established by the revered Mahatma Gandhi Mission Trust, a pioneer in higher education, research and social development, MGM University, is a Self-financed, State University, approved by the Government of Maharashtra under the MGM University Act 2019. It also has been accorded the 2(f) status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India

MGM University aims to provide value-based, research-driven and experiential education that will transform the youth into professionally competent and socially responsible citizens.
